We're Asking for Your Support

Dear Friend,

Almost 60 years ago, a group of local parents came together with a powerful vision to create a place where their children with disabilities could be supported, accepted and given every chance to thrive. That vision became Paladin.

Today, the needs in our community continue to grow. More families are turning to us for support, connection and care. To meet that need, weʼre expanding our facility. But we canʼt do it alone.

This place has always been built by the community, for the community. Now, weʼre asking for your help to make the next chapter possible.

We need your help to build a more accessible, welcoming space for the children, adults and families we serve every day. This is more than a renovation, it's an investment in the people of our community.

The heart of Paladin has always been YOU: our neighbors, families and friends. Your support helped build this place, and your support will carry it into the future. I hope youʼll join us in this next chapter.

With gratitude,

Steve Hobby President and CEO

We're Asking for Your Support

As we work to transform our 24,000-square-foot space into a brighter, more accessible, and purpose-driven hub, weʼre asking for your support. This isnʼt just a renovation—itʼs an investment in your neighbors. Every dollar stays local, helping us create a place where people with disabilities can learn, connect, and thrive right here in their own community.

Cornerstone Partner

Paladin recently received a transformational $1.525 million in federal funding, championed by Congressman Frank Mrvan, to begin critical renovations to our Michigan City facility. This incredible show of support from local leaders was further strengthened by a generous $500,000 investment from the LaPorte County Council, along with a special commitment from Tonn and Blank, who have embraced this project as part of their Community Give Back initiative. With these valued partnerships, we are taking the first step toward expanding our impact—creating more accessible spaces with classrooms and job training areas designed to open doors of opportunity for all. But we canʼt finish this important work alone. We need partners like you to help us complete the journey. Together, we can build a future where every person in our community has the support they deserve.

Supporting our capital campaign means more than funding a building—it means making sure every person with a disability has a place to belong, grow, and thrive in their own hometown.
